INGREDIENTS
cabbage 1/4kg
Green chilly 4-5 Nos
Small onion 5-6 nos
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder A pinch
Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
Coconut oil 4tsp
Scraped coconut 1 cup
red chiilies 2-3 nos
Curry Leaves
salt to taste
METHOD
Cut cabbage into small pieces.Cut green chillies into small round pieces and onion length wise.To the cut cabbage add salt,turmeric powder, a little curry leaves,green chillies,2-3 pieces of cut onion and chilly powder. Mix thoroughly with hand.In a hot pan add the coconut oil.Put the mustard seeds.After a while add the red chillies,curry leaves and small onion pieces. Saute for a while. Add the cabbage and saute.Cover and cook while sauting in between.
Note:
If required sprinkle some water while cooking.
In the same way you can make any thoran.Take care to cook some vegetables before adding the coconut and other ingredients.
