Fish Curry

Fish curry with meals is an all time favourite of the Keralites. There are a number of versions of Fish curry.In the middle parts of Kerala fish curry is made with Kudampuli. Ingredients

Fish                                          250 gm
Coconut oil                           1 tsp
Ginger pieces                        2 tsp
Green Chillies                       5-6 Nos
Coconut Grated                    1/2 cup
Raw mango/Kudampuli    1 small/As per taste
Coriander Powder                1/2 tsp
Chilly powder                         1 tsp
Turmeric powder                  1 /4 tsp
Curry leaves                            1 spring
Salt                                              As per taste

Method

Make paste with coconut, chilly powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder.Add the mixture to the cleaned fish.Also add salt,kudampuli/raw mango pieces,ginger pieces,Green chillies split and curry leaves.Add enough water and cook .When it boils simmer the flame and cook till it is done.Now crush 2-3 small onions and mix it with a tsp of coconut oil and add it to the dish.Cook for 15 min.Check the salt.Remove from fire and the dish is ready to be served.
