Fish can be cooked in many ways. Those who love fish try different recipes to make it more tasty and present it in many different ways.Here is a simple and tasty recipe.

Ingredients

 Fish ½ kg
Coconut scraped 2 cups
Garlic 4
Fenugreek seeds 1/4tsp
Chilly Powder 31/2 tsp
Coriander Powder 4tsp
Turmeric Powder 1/4tsp
Shallots 5
Ginger 11/2” piece
Curry Leaves 2stalks
Coconut Oil 3tbsp
Green Chilly 4
Cocum/Tamarind As per taste
Salt As per taste

Method

Clean the fish and keep aside. In a hot pan add ½ tsp oil and fry the coconut, garlic, fenugreek seeds, pepper till 3/4th done. Add the chilly, coriander and turmeric powder and fry till crispy and brown. Remove from heat and transfer to a plate. Cut the Ginger and green chillys lengthwise. Make  a fine paste out of the fried ingredients without using water.( If you cannot make a paste without water add small quantites of luke warm water while grinding.) In a pan add the remaining oil and heat. Add the Ginger, green chillies and curry leaves. When it turns the colour add the ground paste and fry for some time. Add required quantity of luke warm water, salt, cocum / tamarind pulp. Bring to a boil and add the fish pieces .Cook till done.

Note: The curry tastes well after standing for atleast 1 hour.
