Pickle Powder (Acchar podi)

Pickle is a side dish which adds the taste of the food.It is quiet simple to prepare this.It is an age old practice of preserving the excess or desired fruits available during the season.Commonly used fruits are mango,lime,gooseberry etc.But instead of using the pickle powder available in the market try out the pickle with the powder prepared by yourself.


Kashmiri chilly (whole)         250gms
Fenugreek seeds                       25gms
Turmeric Piece                          4 pieces/1tbsp
Asafoetida                                   2 pieces


Fry all the ingredients in a hot pan over a low flame.Grind to  a fine paste when cooled.Use as required.
