Crab Roast Kerala Style

Crab is an all time favourite of the nonvegetarians of Kerala.Here is asimple and spicy  recipe  that you can try out. Ingredients

Crab

1kg

Cocum (Kudam puli)

6-8

Turmeric Powder

½ tsp

Ginger

1 big piece

Green Chilly

5-6

Shallot

4

Curry Leaves

As required

Salt

As per taste

Clean and cut the crab into small pieces.Crush the green chillies,ginger and shallots.Add all the ingredients to the crab and cook well leaving only a little water.Keep it aside.

Coconut oil

2tbs

Curry Leaves

As required

In a hot pan add the coconut oil.Saute the cut onion pieces.Add the crushed ginger,garlicand shallots.Fry till light brown.Add the crushed chilly powder and curry leaves.Saute till done.Add the cooked crab and mix well. Saute till the gravy is completely absorbed to the crab and remove from heat.Sprinkle some coconut oil over the roasted crab.
